About Our Bakery

Michele Duncan, Owner / Decorator One Sweet Day is a family owned bakery run from our home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Michele Duncan (Owner / Decorator) has been in business for 3 years and has been decorating cakes for over 6 years. We've done dozens of wedding, anniversary, shower, retirement and birthday cakes in the Hampton Roads area. We've worked with most of the local venues (including military bases). Hampton Roads Bride magazine even featured us in their Summer 2009 edition.

What is a home based bakery?

Many people have questions about using a home-based bakery. In Virginia, home bakeries are licensed, regulated and inspected by the Virginia Department of Agriculture. We follow strict guidlines for food preparation, storage and ingredient selection, just like any restauant or commercial bakery.

Our bakery (to the right) is seperate from our own kitchen and always kept clean. You'll get to see the bakery first hand when you visit for your wedding consultation.
